The Young Playwrights Program returns, with students from The Drama Studio performing 10-minute plays by emerging writers from local high schools.
Established in 2012 by Director Fiona Finley from The Drama Studio, in association with Merrigong Theatre Company, The Young Playwrights’ Program provides young writers with mentorship to develop and produce their own work.
Submissions
Open for High School students in the Illawarra.
Successful playwrights will work with a mentor to develop their play and young actors from The Drama Studio will perform the works, at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre. Students out of the local area are encouraged to apply as mentor sessions can be conducted via Zoom
