The Social @ IPAC is not-for-profit. Every dollar helps support a range of programs and activities for artists and our community.
Providing a relaxed urban setting to meet with friends and family The Social is a unique café and bar at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, home of Merrigong Theatre Company, in the heart of Wollongong’s vibrant Arts Precinct. Choose something from our array of salads and sandwiches, sweet treats, or our delicious coffee.
Visitors to the Centre can relax and enjoy the sophisticated selection of local and Australian beers, vegan and organic wines, and delicious zero-alcohol options available from the bar menu.
Theatre patrons can enjoy some of our small pre-theatre dining options, as well as pre-performance drinks with two bars servicing the Bruce Gordon and IMB Theatres.
Our trading hours are:
Monday – Friday: 7.30am – 2.30pm and 1 hour prior to shows.
