We believe that all young people should experience live theatre!
We invite young people to explore our venues, experience professional, high-quality theatre and engage in a range of fun activities, workshops, backstage tours, and more.
Merrigong’s Young People’s Program is generously supported by Peoplecare.
School Groups
A discounted school group price of $29 per student (for groups of eight or more) is available for selected performances. For each group of eight or more students, a supervising teacher can attend for free.
For many shows we offer at least one performance where the audience is invited to stay for a conversation with the cast, and sometimes the show’s creative team as well. This is a perfect opportunity to gain deeper insights into a show and how it was made. Post-Show Q&As are noted on the event page.
Bookings can be made by downloading the PDF Booking Form on this page, or can be booked online. Please contact education@merrigong.com.au for the online booking code.

Praise for The Strangeways Ensemble Workshops:
“To say yesterday was a major hit with the team is an understatement. Everyone was still talking about it today and I imagine for team day years to come. It’s a real gift to share your talents, but to also help others feel brave and safe to have fun and get outside their comfort zone. I think everyone learned a lot from you all and the biggest request is that I organise our next team event around your performances so the whole team can see you in action.”
– Evelyn Ireland, Senior Manager, Trusted Clinical Services
Behind the Scenes - backstage tours
We offer opportunities for students to go behind the scenes and gain unique insights into how stories are developed and realised in professional theatrical productions. Contact us to find out more.
