Music in the Morning – Top of the World

Mon 14 Oct

A celebration of the smooth, smooth sounds of 70s

What better way to celebrate the sweeter side of 70s pop than by spending a fun filled hour with Melissa Langton and Mark Jones – the Captain and Tennille of Australian Cabaret! What a decade it was!

The Carpenters had only just begun, ABBA were sending out an SOS, Helen Reddy was woman and we heard her roar! Featuring an avalanche of easy listening hits from The Carpenters, Olivia Newton-John, ABBA, Peter Allen, Carole King, Billy Joel, Barbra Streisand & Kermit The Frog!

Songs include: ‘Diamonds are Forever’, ‘I Am Woman’, ‘I Honestly Love You’, ‘Imagine’, ‘Tie A Yellow Ribbon’, ‘The Long and Winding Road’, ‘It’s Too Late’, ‘Sing’, ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’ and of course, ‘Top of the World’.

She’s got the moves of Joe Cocker.
He’s got Freddie Mercury’s teeth.
She’s got the dress sense of the Bay City Rollers.
He’s got the pure animal magnetism of Leo Sayer.
They’re gonna nail this!

Warning: Show may contain traces of Mull of Kintyre!
