Last week Merrigong welcomed the cast and crew of SILENCE to Dharawal Country with a series of activities and experiences.

It all kicked off with a Welcome to Country by Aunty Lorraine Brown and Aunty Narelle Thomas at Red Point, Port Kembla, followed by mural paintings, a BBQ and a yarn at Coomaditchie United Aboriginal Corporation.

Day two had Aunt Joyce Donovan Welcome to Country at Seven Mile Beach, with a smoking ceremony and pippie gathering to follow.

SILENCE is a thrilling new work from acclaimed First Nations contemporary dance company, Karul Projects, based on the Gold Coast and is part of Merrigong’s First Nations Program commitment to support, facilitate and connect with our First Nations community.
