Wolfgang’s Magical Musical Circus

17 - 28 Apr

Family fun at Spiegeltent Wollongong in the April School Holidays.

By Yaron Lifschitz with Benjamin Knapton & the Circa Ensemble

The wonderful, wacky and wigged world of classical music’s favourite child prodigy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will be brought to life inside the beautiful Aurora Spiegeltent.

The thrill of circus and the mayhem of Mozart fuse in Circa’s exciting new family show! This is a priceless opportunity for children to share in the magical atmosphere of Spiegeltent Wollongong. Come and discover Wolfgang’s irrepressible spirit and vibrant compositions, as the musical notes are lifted off the page in a storm of powder, tumbles, crashes and mischievous antics – all under the eccentric swirl of the conductor’s baton.

Reviews

  • Whether it's through acrobatics, aerial work or hula hooping, you know you'll see beauty and strength in equal measure . . . A great introduction to contemporary circus, and Mozart, for younger audiences. - The List (UK)
  • For circus thrills with a classy, classical touch, ‘Wolfgang’ hits the right notes. - Three Weeks Edinburgh (UK)
  • . . . manic and magical. - The Guardian (UK)
