Tim Freedman

6 - 7 Nov

One of Australia’s most talented creatives bringing charming cynicism and delicate piano.

Update: New show added – Sat 7 Nov, 8pm.

Tim Freedman brings one of his rare solo tours to The Music Lounge to launch The Whitlams’ new single ‘Ballad of Bertie Kidd’, a six minute crime caper that describes a little known escapade in the long career of one of Australia’s most notorious criminals.

Tim will settle in with his piano to tell tales, reinvent classics like ‘Blow Up the Pokies’ and ‘No Aphrodisiac’ and play some tracks from The Whitlams’ forthcoming album due for release in 2021.

But for this year, this is Wollongong’s only chance to reacquaint with the iconic repertoire of one of Australia’s most-loved bands.

A note about seating: Online tickets to this event are sold in groups of two only and groups of more than two will be seated in pairs. This is to ensure physical distancing between pairs by an empty seat. Contact Box Office for bookings of one, three, etc. (limited availability).  Thank you for your understanding.

Great South Nights is a new event to kick-start the recovery of the live music industry – featuring 1,000 COVID-safe gigs across Sydney and Regional NSW, throughout November 2020 (Australian Music Month).
