The Beanies EGG-Straordinary Day

Thu 6 Oct

Parenting: How hard boiled can it be?

As seen on ABC Kids TV, The Beanies are live on stage!

Laura, Mim and Michael are ready to play with you! Come sing, dance and laugh in their giant box fort. But little do they know they’re about to face their biggest challenge ever – BABYSITTING…or should we say “egg-sitting”.

Turns out it’s harder than it looks: the trio argue about nap time, get confused about baby proofing and deal with crying fits – and then DISASTER! The egg is poached.

Now, The Beanies need your help to save EGGbert – together they will solve problems, unravel riddles and search for clues. Will they find EGGbert before the time is up? You’ll have to come along to find out… but beware of those Sneaky Robbers.

About The Beanies

The Beanies‘ goal is to be every child’s best friend and help them feel free to play as themselves, for themselves.

Laura, Mim and Michael are best known for their podcast series which has achieved more than a million downloads and in 2018 won an Australian Podcast Award for Best Kids and Families Podcast. The series explores children’s audio through storytelling, informative fact based teaching and music. In 2022, The Beanies debuted on ABC Kids TV and iView with their original music videos. The Beanies are a three-piece band with over 70 original songs that have been released through ABC Commercial and streamed over three million times. In 2019 The Beanies were nominated for an ARIA Award in the category of Best Children’s Album and an Australian Independent Music Award in 2022. The Beanies have been featured on Sunrise, The Project, TODAY Show and ABC News.

As well as being entertaining and silly the Beanies are on a mission: According to the World Economic Forum, 65% of children entering primary school today will end up working in jobs that don’t currently exist. So, the question for anyone working with children today is; how do we best prepare young Australians for an undiscovered future? The Beanies believe that by encouraging creative, adaptable thinking, children will be better equipped for unimaginable possibilities. In short – instead of asking “why?“, The Beanies ask “why not?“.

We’re committed to delivering safe & enjoyable performing arts experiences.
