The Audreys

Sat 21 Nov

Stunning & sardonic songwriting from a three time ARIA Award-winning duo.

Live favourites and multiple ARIA Award-winners The Audreys have graced almost every major festival in Australia and played more gigs than they can count. They’ve rocked festivals and clubs in Europe and North America, sold songs to films and tv shows far and wide, written music for live theatre, won awards, hit the charts, gone gold and pawned their very hearts for rock and roll.

Launching in 2006 with triple j favourites ‘You and Steve McQueen’, ‘Oh Honey’ and ‘Banjo & Violin’ from their debut album, The Audreys now have five albums worth of songs to choose from and just as many hilarious anecdotes. Predominantly playing as a duo these days, Taasha Coates & Tristan Goodall have a chemistry like no other, and every show will bring you from laughter to tears and all the way back again.

The duo have suddenly announced a brief sojourn to NSW to celebrate borders opening up. This will be your only chance to see The Audreys this year!

A note about seating: Online tickets to this event are sold in groups of two only and groups of more than two will be seated in pairs. This is to ensure physical distancing between pairs by an empty seat. Contact Box Office for bookings of one, three, etc. (limited availability).  Thank you for your understanding.

Reviews

  • A bit of folk, a pinch of blues and an exquisite layer of rock’n’roll. It’s an original recipe made by perfectionists and cooked to perfection. - Newcastle Herald
  • Taasha Coates has a true voice, remarkably unchanged in power and provocation, original lyrics delivered in brash, assured style. - The Mercury
