Music in the Morning – What’s New Pussycat?

Mon 13 Sep

Vocal pyrotechnics, breath-taking harmonies and off the wall humour!

What’s New Pussycat? is a joyous, foot stamping, hand clapping celebration of the swinging sixties.

The hits of Tom Jones, Burt Bacharach, The Mamas and The Papas, Petula Clark, Aretha Franklin, Dusty Springfield, Carole King and The Fab Four performed by one of Australia’s favourite cabaret duos.

It was the era of protest, civil unrest and undergarments being thrown inappropriately onto stage. Melissa & Mark by no means discourage these acts during their show!

Their song list is wide and varied and shows off their flair for recreating the 60’s. But their forte lies in their comedy numbers and in their soul drenched vocal fireworks.

In the words of The Melbourne Age, they are “an irresistible double act”!

  • Sensational! Cabaret at its very best. - The Age
  • A powerhouse comic performance. - The Sydney Morning Herald
  • Vocal gymnastics that is alternatively hilarious and brilliant. - The Adelaide Advertiser
  • Remarkable and riveting talent. - The New York Cabaret Hotline
