Nic Doodson
Nic has spent more than 20 years at the forefront of vocal performance as a performer, director, producer and competition judge. He founded the internationally acclaimed a cappella group The Magnets, leading them from a student ensemble to one of the world’s most successful vocal groups, signing with EMI and releasing three albums.
He created the hit a cappella stage show Gobsmacked!, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe before touring internationally, including North America, Hong Kong and London’s Southbank Centre. In 2017, he co-created and directed The Choir of Man, now a global success with productions across the UK, Europe, Australia, Asia and the US, a West End run, an Olivier Award nomination, Norwegian Cruise Line residencies, and multiple international and non-English productions.
Nic also created and co-produced Noise Boys, produced the Olivier Award-nominated family show Maddie Moate’s Very Curious Christmas, and co-produced the play Autopilot. He continues to develop new theatre across music and drama, with multiple productions touring and premiering internationally.
