Fiasco: An Improvised Play

Sat 14 Nov

Things can go wrong, fast…

Fiasco is an improvised play inspired by tales of small-time capers gone disastrously wrong. Based off the award-winning storytelling game of the same name, Fiasco will place the audience as the director of their own play; using their suggestions to create a chaotic cast of characters, their bold motives and a setting filled to the brim with intrigue and peril.

Once the stage is set, we let the actors loose to bring to life a story of disastrous schemes, doomed romances, fatally ambitious people, and the dire (and often hysterical) consequences of their poor impulse control. It won’t go well for them, to put it mildly, and in the end it will probably all go south in a glorious heap of jealousy, murder, and recrimination… after all it is a Fiasco!

Brought to you by Wollongong’s premier improv comic troupe Room for Improvment, Fiasco promises to be a show like no other seen in the area before. With no script to save them, can this group of foolhardy actors and comedians pull together an entire play in less than two hours?!
