Dave Graney & Clare Moore

Fri 15 Nov

Music drawn from a lifetime in rock'n'roll culture.

Dave Graney is an ARIA Award-winning singer, songwriter and guitarist. Clare Moore is a songwriter, arranger and producer who plays drums, keyboard and sings. From their beginnings in Adelaide via Melbourne via London post-punk band The Moodists, Dave and Clare’s creative partnership has spanned countless projects including White Buffaloes, The Coral Snakes and The Lurid Yellow Mist.

The pair are playing national dates for their latest album titled ‘ONE MILLION YEARS DC’: an album of songs rather than a representation of a band. It’s all to do with their sensibility. They are rock’n’roll people and are steeped in rock’n’roll culture.

They will be playing songs from across their career and also nods to artists who have inspired them.

Whatever they do, it will be straight from the fridge (i.e. cool), as ever they’re on a Birdseye kick, man! Catch them when you can. It’s always a live show, jumping off the plate, baby.

Reviews

  • Graney has always been a raconteur – with equal doses of smooth, smug and wit. - Brian Parker, Your Music Radar
  • You can dip in almost anywhere into the vast Graney catalogue and find something deeper and more satisfying than the pop fizz of the day. - MusicTrust.com
  • This is music that is neither folk, nor blues, nor country, but it's all Graney, somewhere out to the left field beyond Lee Hazlewood's raised eyebrow. - Brisbane Courier Mail
