Bluescope WIN Wollongong Eisteddfod Troupes

10 - 11 Jul

The Wollongong Eisteddfod returns in 2021.

Illawarra’s premier dance event is proudly celebrating 127 years of operation, beginning way back in 1894. Often referred to by locals just as “the Eisteddfod” it is also the second oldest in Australia.

The event commences with a week of solo performances in both the IMB and Bruce Gordon theatres. On the final night of solos, July 9th, three coveted dance scholarships will be decided, there will also be a number of excellent guest artists appearing. These acts are made up of winners from this year’s speech, instrumentals and vocals sections and this is definitely a session not to be missed. On the final weekend of the Eisteddfod, July 10th and 11th, the fabulous troupes will be held.

This Eisteddfod is:

  • held in high regard in performing arts arenas
  • much sought after for the high level of  local competition
  • popular with interstate visitors
  • an opportunity for dancers to perform in a high class Wollongong venue
  • one where performers deserve an audience.

Please note: Tickets are not required for all solo dance sessions but tickets need to be purchased for the troupes weekend.

We are committed to delivering safe & enjoyable performing arts experiences.
