As Luck Would Have It – Development Showing

Sat 30 Oct

By Drew Fairley

As Luck Would Have It begins like a piece of stand-up, telling the hilarious clash between land and cruise ship logic. Then as we are banished from Australian waters, the play slides into a surreal parallel story of life and death. The machinations of desperation through the inner workings of the theatre itself are explored. It’s going to be a hilarious, adventurous, mysterious and bumpy ride. Exactly like your 2020 but on a ship and with wigs. A swirling, drum-rolling, horn-tooting theatrical odyssey.

As Luck Would Have It was commissioned by Merrigong Theatre Company.
