Buying Tickets/Season Ticket Packages
The box office is located at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre, and is open on weekdays from 10am - 4pm, and at least one hour prior to all performances. A box office only operates within the Wollongong Town Hall one hour prior to performances.
No transaction fees are payable for counter purchases, or for Season Tickets and additional tickets purchased as part of your Season Ticket booking. A transaction fee of $6.95 applies to phone and internet bookings, except for subscription bookings.
You can purchase gift certificates for any amount, except when booking online where they are made up to denominations of $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. The recipient can then use it to purchase tickets to the shows and packages of their choice. The certificates are valid for up to twelve months. Click here to purchase.
Beware of Ticket Resellers
Please be aware that Viagogo are reselling tickets. If you purchase tickets from a reseller such as Viagogo, StubbHub etc, you may be paying too much!
Tickets for all shows at the Illawarra Performing Arts Centre or Wollongong Town Hall should always be purchased direct from our Box Office (ph: 4224 5999) or from our website. Only tickets that have been purchased officially through Merrigong Theatre Company will be admitted to performances.

Refunds or Exchanges
Tickets cannot be refunded after purchase except if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or significantly relocated as outlined in the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. For more details, visit www.liveperformance.com.au or Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice.
Tickets for Merrigong Season Show – Season Package holders
Season Ticket Holders can swap each ticket in their package once for free into another performance of the same show, or a performance of a different show in Merrigong’s 2018 Season. Where performance prices vary, the difference will be charged. Unlimited additional exchanges are permitted at an exchange fee of $4.80 per ticket, per exchange. You will need to return your original tickets to the box office at least 24 hours prior to the earliest performance.
Exchanging Tickets for Merrigong Season Show – Single Ticket holders
Exchanges into another performance of the same show, or a performance of a different show in Merrigong's Season are permitted at an exchange fee of $4.80 per ticket, per exchange. Where performance prices vary, the difference in price will be charged. You will need to return your original tickets to the Box Office at least 24 hours prior to the earliest performance.
Tickets for all other events – Single Ticket holders
Ticket exchanges are at the discretion of the promoter. Please refer to the information printed on your ticket.
Types of Tickets
Discounted ticket prices are available for Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card, MEAA and Australian Writer’s Guild card holders, as well as full-time students.
Seniors Card holders may also book a Merrigong Season Ticket at the concession price.
Proof of concession is required at the time of booking, and may also be requested prior to admission to the theatre.
Group prices are available for groups of eight or more (unless stated otherwise). Season Ticket group prices are only available to groups who book the same performances and dates. Please submit only one booking form for all members of a group and, if possible, include one payment. Where possible, groups will be seated together.
Proof of age is required when purchasing tickets at the Under 30s price. Please note that under 30s tickets are not available online. While we provide age recommendations for shows, parental discretion is advised.
Please note that children 12 months and over must have a paid seat.
Family of 4 tickets are available for selected Merrigong shows. Please note that there is a maximum 2 adults per Family of 4 ticket.
20 for $25
We want to encourage everyone to engage with theatre works, regardless of economic status, age or ability. To help make this a reality, we are offering a strictly limited number of $25 tickets to all Merrigong 2018 Mainstage Season performances (excluding LIMBO). These tickets are only available on presentation of an eligible Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card. Only available for purchase in person at the Box Office up to 1 hour prior to the performance time, and are subject to availability. Limit of one ticket at this price per eligible concession card holder.

Performance times are subject to change. Please check the website or contact the box office closer to the performance date for more accurate information.
Please note that school day matinee performances are often attended by school groups.
& Recording Equipment
Cameras and recording equipment are not permitted in the theatres during performances.
As a consideration to other patrons, please ensure that mobile phones and other devices are turned off while in the theatres.
Patrons arriving at the theatre after the show has commenced may only be admitted at the discretion of management, and at a convenient break in the program.
Some performances have strict lockout policies where you may not enter the theatre if you are late. Please refer to your ticket or call the box office for more information.
There are no dress requirements. As a guide to suitable attire, most patrons choose to wear smart casual clothing.
