Trash Alchemy

By Liesel Badorrek

A transformational tale.

10 Oct – 11 Oct

In a surreal adventure, a man journeys from a bizarre world of advertising bombardment and product overload, through polluted yet magical oceans, to the creation of his own trash civilization. The set, props and puppetry of this ingenious show are made entirely from found and recycled/re-purposed materials, unveiling the value of what we normally discard.

Writer and Director Liesel Bardorrek has directed many well-known children's tales including The 26 Storey Treehouse, The 52 Storey Treehouse and Horrible Harriet. Bardorrek has created original works of beauty, discovery and ingenuity that have had young audiences mesmerised.

From the supermarket aisle to the belly of a whale, Trash Alchemy is one person’s magnificent journey to change the way we live in the world. A journey we should all take.

Recommended for ages 7+

“We hope Trash Alchemy starts a conversation amongst audiences of all ages about what we keep and what we throw away, and what actually makes life beautiful.” - Liesel Badorrek
