Teaching Artists Workshop
School Holiday Workshop with Monkey Baa Theatre Co
Children will explore movement, design and creative play with an expert Monkey Baa tutor
20 Apr – 20 Apr
Suitable for 5 - 9 year olds (30 maximum)
Using the book Diary of a Wombat as a starting point, this drama-based workshop is for young theatre lovers and acting aficionados! Children will explore movement, design and creative play with an expert Monkey Baa tutor (and a guest puppet!) They’ll learn fun ways to create their own puppet and have the chance to re-live the story, experiencing some of the music that made the show so magical! They’ll even get a chance to write their own extension of the story.
The Diary of a Wombat Teaching Artist Workshop is designed to form a bridge between the book by Jackie French and Bruce Whatley and Monkey Baa Theatre Company’s production. This fun-filled one- hour workshop will use active, drama-based content to deepen children’s experience of seeing the live production.
Fantastic April School Holiday fun.
